Job description
TLC Head Office has an opportunity for a TLC Site Project Coordinator in Delmas. You will be responsible to coordinate, oversee and direct allocated on-site projects within the design department from conception to completion. The role is also responsible in ensuring the projects are completed in timely and cost-effective manner. Essential:
- Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate
- 2 - 3 years in site and/or project management
Advantageous:
- Previous experience in the retail environment with experience in drawing with AutoCad, Revit or specific software.
Job Specifications:
Project Management:
- Administer contractor performance for all projects and ensure compliance to all agreements and assist in various new and revamp projects.
- Manage multiple construction projects at any given time and prepare construction progress reports for all projects on an everyday basis and manage all communication with contractors, TLC Project Manager and TLC Administrators.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders and resolve all queries for site progress.
- Prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
- Implement corrective measures for identified distractions or issues.
- Oversee construction progress against schedule and budget.
- Conduct measurements of pharmacies and draw as-is plans when required.
- To proactively manage changes in project scope, ensure that any change to project scope is documented and approve.
- Drive implementation of projects plans, timelines, critical milestones, quality and costs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Assist in compile and prepare project estimates by gathering information from proposals, plans, specifications and related documents.
- Coordinate engagement sessions between client, site, sub-contractors & suppliers.
- Facilitate stakeholder and engagement meetings to review project status.
Health, Safety & Compliance :
- Facilitate all forms of risk assessment - manual handling, fire risk assessments / fire prevention to ensure third parties are adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Acts.
- Inspect all construction sites to ensure appropriate quality control on all processes and coordinate with various team.
- Ensure products and services meet the highest quality standards, and that working conditions are safe and meet legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments to highlight areas of potential risks.
Contractors and sub-contractors’ relations:
- Manage all allocated projects in conjunction with all contractors and sub-contractors
- Quote check
- Ensure that all contractors and sub-contractors execute allocated projects within the TLC builder’s specification document and corporate identity.
- Ensure that all contractors and sub-contractor honor timelines as communicated.
Reporting:
- Report on the progression of project completions and ensure the timely completion of all allocated projects.
- Prepare and submit monthly or weekly progress reports as required, on the allocated software and/or platforms provided by Head Office.
General:
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.

Special conditions of employment:
- Daily travelling to stores. Occasional office-based work. May be required to work outside normal office hours in accordance with business needs.
- South African citizen.
- MIE, no criminal record and clear credit rating.
- Driver’s license and own reliable transport.
