Job description
Purpose of the Role:
To coordinate, administer, and support the effective delivery of trade testing processes in line with relevant regulatory and quality assurance requirements. The role ensures that all trade test activities are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule trade tests in line with organisational and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with candidates, assessors, moderators, and relevant stakeholders regarding trade test arrangements
- Ensure all required documentation for trade tests is complete, accurate, and submitted timeously
- Maintain and update records of candidate registrations, results, and certifications
- Prepare trade test venues, materials, and equipment in advance of assessments
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality assurance bodies and regulatory frameworks
- Capture and process trade test results and generate reports as required
- Provide administrative support during trade test sessions
- Handle queries from candidates and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor and track candidate progress and certification status
- Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of confidential documents
- Assist with audits and quality assurance reviews
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- Relevant administrative qualification will be advantageous
- 2–3 years’ experience in an administrative role (training or education environment preferred)
- Knowledge of trade testing processes and SETA/QCTO requirements (advantageous)
- Computer literacy (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)
