Role Description
This is a full-time Graduate Academy Trainee Recruiter role based in the City of Cape Town, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing a combination of office and remote work.
As a Trainee Recruiter, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end recruitment process while developing core sourcing, shortlisting, and client engagement skills. You will receive structured training and performance coaching to build your expertise in candidate identification, market research, and commercial recruitment delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the sourcing and identification of high-quality candidates
- Learning and applying Boolean search techniques and sourcing strategies
- Screening CVs and conducting initial candidate engagement calls
- Assisting with shortlisting and presenting candidates to clients
- Managing candidate pipelines and updating CRM/ATS systems
- Building professional relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders
- Contributing to team targets and performance metrics
You will play an integral role in building talent pipelines while developing the commercial mindset and resilience required to succeed in a performance-driven recruitment environment.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree / Diploma in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Less than 1 year of formal work experience (entry-level opportunity)
- Based in Cape Town
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High levels of drive, ambition, and resilience
- Interest in sales, recruitment, or talent acquisition
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commercial mindset with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Prior exposure to recruitment, sales, or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not required.
Pay: From R10 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Century City, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
