Travel Coordinator

Hulamin is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Travel Coordinator to coordinate and manage the Company’s travel arrangements, ensuring an efficient and seamless travel service for all.

The position is based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

• Providing advice on travel-related topics such as passports, visas, immunizations, medication, etc.

• Booking airline tickets, rental cars, hotels, and accommodations.

• Set budgets for travel allocations.

• Ensure all bookings follow company travel rules and stay within approved spending limits

• Keep abreast of industry trends, travel advisories, and destination information

• Creating detailed itineraries for each trip based on the clients’ interests and needs.

• Assisting with trip planning by creating a list of potential destinations based on clients’ preferences and budget.

• Call clients to confirm reservations and inform them of changes to their itinerary.

• Arranging for transportation to and from the airport for clients when they arrive or depart at their destination.

• Explaining the rules and regulations about carryon baggage, checked luggage, and other items allowed on airplanes.

• Recommending insurance coverage and helping clients purchase travel insurance policies.

• Provide support and assistance to travelers in case of emergencies or unexpected situations

• A National Diploma in Travel Management or related training.

• At least 3 years travel admin experience.

• Proven experience as a Travel Coordinator or in a similar role

• Must be computer literate, and fully competent on the use of all Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

• Experience with travel booking tools or corporate platforms (Galileo, Amadeus & Cliqit)

• Attention to detail.

• Good communication aptitude.
