Here is your opportunity to work with a global travel-tech start-up that is redefining the way people book trips and experiences. Designer Journeys connects travellers and travel agents with trusted Local Designers in over 70 countries worldwide, who design, build and deliver extraordinary travel experiences.

The primary purpose of this role is to support our network of Local Designers as they create customised travel itineraries for our clients.This includes ensuring that Local Designers have all the information they need to prepare accurate proposals, monitoring enquiries to ensure quotes are returned within agreed timeframes, and checking that each itinerary meets the client's brief and our quality standards.A significant part of the role is also dedicated to working with Local Designers to prepare and finalise the travel documentation that clients require before they depart on their trip.As the role develops, responsibilities may expand to include providing operational support to our Sales team and Local Suppliers throughout the travel booking process, helping to ensure a smooth experience from initial enquiry through to departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure services are booked.
  • Cross-check that services match the initial quoted itinerary.
  • Assist with the compilation, and in some cases the creation, of travel documents.
  • Call, email and chat with suppliers and clients, managing the relationship throughout.
  • Provide high levels of customer service, measured through NPS and customer feedback.
  • Offer a 'Best in Class' level of service to travellers and partners.
  • Follow up with our Designers to ensure required actions are completed.
  • Ensure Designers respond to queries from our team and clients in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of, and belief in, Designer Journeys' philosophy and values.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • A background in travel is not a requirement but would be extremely beneficial.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and dedicated to ensuring Designer Journeys delivers an amazing customer experience, every time.
  • Willing to learn, adapt and implement change to deliver a better service to customers.
  • Able to identify areas for improvement and help design the systems and processes needed to deliver great experiences.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Able to work collaboratively with a global team.
  • A friendly, flexible and fun Designer Journeys team player.

Please note that this is a work from home position (with compulsory initial onsite training in Durbanville)

Pay: R22 000,00 - R26 000,00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cape Town, Western Cape
