Job description

Our Weight Loss team is growing and we're hiring a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to join us as a Treatment Specialist. This is a predominantly weekend-based role — shifts cover both Saturday and Sunday, plus 1 to 2 weekdays, so please only apply if that works for you.

As a Treatment Specialist, you'll play a central role in ensuring patients are safely and effectively assessed for GLP-1 weight management treatment, delivering high-quality video consultations and patient support across digital channels.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct BMI verification consultations for patients applying for GLP-1 weight management treatment via video call. You should be comfortable being on video calls for the majority of your working day.
  • Provide thorough patient education on the risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of treatment.
  • When appropriate, screen for disordered eating and conduct eating disorder assessments as part of the consultation process.
  • Educate patients on side effects to monitor and when to seek clinical support whilst on GLP-1 medication.
  • Work closely with the wider clinical and customer support teams to ensure safe, effective practice.
  • There may be scope to support our live chat ticket queue as a secondary responsibility.

The details

  • Initially a 12-month fixed-term contractor position.
  • Fully remote within South Africa. You'll need your own laptop and a quiet, private space from which to conduct video consultations, and stable internet connection.
  • 37.5 hours per week across 3–4 days, including both Saturday and Sunday, within an 8am–8pm UK window. Example patterns:
  • Fri / Sat / Sun / Mon: 3 × 9.5hr shifts + 1 × 9hr shift
  • Sat / Sun + Fri or Mon: 3 × 12.5hr shifts
  • We're also open to discussing arrangements of fewer than 37.5 hours per week, provided Saturday, Sunday, and Friday or Monday covered.
  • Applicants must be based in South Africa with the right to work in SA, and registered with the HPCSA.

What We Need From You

  • Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist registered with the HPCSA (essential).
  • Available to work every Saturday and Sunday, plus 1–2 weekdays.
  • Comfortable conducting back-to-back video consultations for extended periods.
  • Experience in clinical assessment and patient education.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to develop knowledge of GLP-1 medications.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills — all patients are UK-based, so clear communication is essential.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a remote team.

What We Offer

  • Flexibility — work across a condensed 3–4 day schedule, giving you extended time off during the week.
  • Fully remote — work from home.
  • Competitive salary
  • Meaningful work — play a direct role in patient care within a fast-growing, clinically led weight loss programme.
  • Exposure to GLP-1 medicine — build specialist knowledge in one of the most rapidly developing areas of healthcare.
  • Collaborative team — work alongside clinicians, and CX specialists in a supportive remote environment.

Our hiring process

  • Submit application: Apply through our online portal.
  • Screening call: You'll meet our recruitment team to go over the details.
  • Interview with Treatment Specialist Team Lead: Shortlisted candidates will meet the hiring team to discuss their experience and qualifications.

About Voy Voy is brought to you by the team behind MANUAL, the online healthcare brand created to destigmatise health issues and create accessible solutions. Voy is our dedicated weight loss programme, bringing together experts in weight loss, nutrition, and customer experience.

We believe that successful weight loss isn't about how quickly numbers drop on the scales. 'Voy' nods to a metaphorical voyage — because lasting weight loss isn't a race. It's about embracing the journey, overcoming obstacles, and transforming our members' lives along the way. With Voy, we're supporting our customers on their way towards their happiest, healthiest future.

Healthcare is broken. We’re fixing it — and we need your help.

Back in 2019, we launched MANUAL to tackle men's health (starting with hair loss and sexual health). A few years later, we launched Voy with a focus on weight loss. But our ambition has always been bigger. Healthcare too often treats conditions in isolation, not people as a whole, and we're on a mission to prove there's a better way.

In 2025, we evolved from MANUAL into Voy, a brand built for the long game: supporting people through every stage of life, not just a single diagnosis. Today, we support over 1 million members across the UK, Germany and Brazil, delivering personalised care across weight loss, menopause, hair loss and TRT (with more categories on the way).

Ready to join us and change how healthcare feels for millions of people?
