Truck Driver
Matroosfontein, Cape Town | Permanent
We are looking for aTruck Driver to join our team, where they will be working on the following tasks:
Main Responsibilities
- Delivering solar products to and from clients/suppliers in relation to Solar lane distribution via use of company bakkie or 8-ton truck.
- Loading and unloading products
- Identifying and communicating any damaged goods found or made during transit
- During delivery down-time, assisting in the warehouse with packing, organisation and general warehouse upkeep (not main responsibility
Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge
- High-school qualification (Matric)
- Valid code C1 (10) Driver’s license, for use of 3,500 kg and 16,000 kg delivery vehicles (Required)
- PrDP with “Goods” endorsement (Required)
- Up-to-date Police Clearance certificate (Required)
- Code EC1 (or heavy articulated Code EC / Code 14) (Advantageous)
- Forklift license (Advantageous)
Competencies Needed for Role Success
- Truck-driving competence
- Experience with towing trailers
- Fit physical condition to handle heavy items such as batteries (100kg) with assistance

- Fluency in English
