Tyre Fitter

The Tyre Fitter is responsible for stripping, fitting , repairing, and maintaining tyres.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fit and remove tyres on new/old rims
• Inflate tyres to the correct pressure and ensure proper alignment and torque settings
• Inspect tyres and wheels for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before and after fitting
• Maintain stock levels of tyres, rims, valves, and associated hardware
• Perform puncture repairs and minor maintenance when required
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and workshop procedures
• Keep accurate records of tyre specifications, serial numbers, and fitment logs

Desired Experience & Qualification

Matric

1 year Tyre Fitting experience

1 Year General labouring preferably within a production/manufacturing environment

Basic understanding of workplace safety and hazard awareness.

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.

Sound knowledge of trailer wheel configurations, tyre types, and load ratings

Ability to read and interpret job sheets, technical drawings, and specifications.
