CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

This position is responsible for product, market and retail operations and development of the University Shop as a self-sustaining institutional brand development unit.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

1. Market Research and Stakeholder Engagement as related University branded products environment.

2. Product Development of branded items and unique institutional offerings.

3. Efficient management of procurement processes and stock.

4. Development and management of efficient retail outlets (Main shop and sites) and online platform.

5. Marketing and communication management of the Shop and its products and services.

6. Efficient human resources, financial and general management of the University Shop, outlets and platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

1. A three year post matric / tertiary qualification (M+3).

2. A 3-5 years retail management experience involving all the relevant functional areas.

3. A valid drivers licence.

4. Reliable own transport essential.
