Value Chain Operator

About the Role

Energi Solutions at Africa (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised Value Chain Operator to join our growing Value Chain team.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth flow of procurement, order management, inventory control, logistics coordination, and supplier communication. Working closely with internal departments and external suppliers, you will help ensure products are sourced, processed, and delivered efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

This position is ideal for someone with strong supply chain administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and continuously seeks opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process for local and international purchases.
• Create, maintain, and process Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and timeously.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding quotations, order confirmations, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance.
• Monitor stock availability and work closely with the warehouse to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Assist with stock forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory control.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with freight forwarders and transport providers.
• Maintain accurate supplier, product, and pricing information within the ERP system.
• Support import and export documentation where required.
• Monitor order progress and proactively resolve supply chain delays or shortages.
• Assist with warehouse stock takes and inventory reconciliations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO standards, and supply chain policies.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, stock levels, supplier performance, and delivery metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce supply chain costs.
• Perform additional value chain and procurement-related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement, logistics, supply chain, or value chain environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Sound understanding of procurement and inventory management principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month

• Diploma (Preferred)

• Forex Transcactions: 3 years (Preferred)
• Procurement in Production Facility: 3 years (Preferred)
• Local and International Freight: 3 years (Preferred)
• Stock and Inventory Management (Full Cycle) : 3 years (Preferred)
• Engineering Production Facility: 3 years (Preferred)
