Job description
We are looking for an experienced, qualified Spray Painter to join our team. This is a hands-on position requiring someone who is prepared to work on vehicles from start to finish, rather than only performing spray painting duties.
The successful candidate must take pride in producing exceptional workmanship and be capable of managing the daily workflow within a busy repair workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all stages of vehicle refinishing, including:
- Vehicle preparation
- Minor panel beating and repairs
- Priming and preparation
- Colour matching
- Spray painting
- Polishing and final quality inspection
- Assist in preparing quotations for repair work.
- Plan, manage and monitor the workshop workflow to ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and quality control.
- Ensure excellent colour matching and flawless paint finishes.
- Liaise professionally with customers when required, providing updates and technical advice.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Qualified Spray Painter with proven industry experience.
- Ability to perform work from preparation through to final finish.
- Strong understanding of vehicle refinishing processes.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to supervise workflow and maintain production targets.
- Experience with water-based paint systems will be a distinct advantage.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
