About the Role
We are a content creation startup looking for a creative, technically skilled, and deadline-driven Video Editor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with gaming content, and understands how to create engaging videos for modern digital audiences.
You'll be responsible for producing high-quality long-form and short-form content across multiple platforms while helping shape the visual identity of our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit engaging long-form and short-form video content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
- Deliver high-quality edits within agreed deadlines while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
- Create compelling storytelling through pacing, sound design, transitions, motion graphics, and colour correction.
- Collaborate remotely with content creators and clients.
- Optimise content for different social media platforms and audience engagement.
- Organise and manage project files efficiently.
- Apply feedback quickly and professionally.
- Stay up to date with editing trends, gaming culture, and emerging content styles.
Essential Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional video editing experience.
- Demonstrated experience editing both long-form and short-form content.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of editing styles and completed projects (applications without a portfolio will not be considered).
- Solid understanding of gaming culture, gaming communities, military history and gaming-related content is beneficial.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Strong understanding of audio editing, colour grading, and video optimisation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in a remote working environment.
- Must own a reliable computer/workstation capable of professional video editing.
- Must have access to licensed editing software and a stable high-speed internet connection.
Desirable Skills
- The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Cinematography or camera operation experience.
- Visual Effects (VFX), motion graphics, or digital artwork creation.
- Social media management and content scheduling.
- Experience creating content that performs well across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Knowledge or understanding of military topics, terminology, or culture.
Travel Requirements
- This is a fully remote position.
- Travel requirements are minimal and may occasionally be required for team meetings or content production.
