Video editor & Social media manager

We are looking for a reliable and creative Part-Time video editor and social media manager to help transform our existing long-form videos and recorded content into engaging short-form clips.

Your main responsibility will be to identify strong moments from longer videos, cut them into concise and engaging clips, and prepare them for publication on platforms such as YouTube Shorts and other social media channels.

This is a flexible part-time opportunity requiring approximately 3–4 hours of work per day.

Responsibilities

• Review long-form videos and identify the most engaging moments.
• Edit content into short, attention-grabbing videos.
• Cut and trim footage cleanly and professionally.
• Add captions, text, music and basic visual elements when required.
• Format videos correctly for YouTube Shorts and other short-form platforms.
• Prepare content consistently according to the daily or weekly publishing schedule.
• Organise completed videos and source files clearly.
• Make revisions based on feedback.
• Meet agreed deadlines and communicate promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience editing short-form social media videos.
• A portfolio or examples of previous video-editing work.
• Experience using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar editing software.
• Good understanding of pacing, hooks and viewer retention.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Reliable computer and internet connection.
• Availability for approximately 3–4 hours per day.
• Good written English and communication skills.

Ideal Candidate

You are fast, organised and able to recognise which parts of a longer video will work well as short-form content. You understand that social media clips need to capture attention quickly and communicate a clear idea without unnecessary material.

This role may be suitable for a freelancer, student or part-time editor looking for consistent ongoing work.
