Job description

We are seeking a highly driven and entrepreneurial Voucher Product Manager to take full ownership of our vouchering ecosystem. This is not just a maintenance role; it is a growth mandate. You will be responsible for transforming our vouchering products into a significant and primary income generator for the Company.

You will oversee the entire product lifecycle—from strategic conception and supplier integration to delivery, implementation, and reporting. We need a leader with a "singular focus" who can scale our operations, open new revenue streams, and build a high-performing team around this product vertical.

Key Objectives

Your primary mission will be to scale the business by:

  • Expanding Distribution: Aggressively increasing the number of integrated sites, specifically targeting and onboarding non-integrated sites.
  • Growing the Supply Chain: Identifying, negotiating with, and onboarding new voucher suppliers to diversify and enhance our product offering.
  • Launching Proprietary Products: Spearheading the strategy and launch of our own Company-branded vouchers to capture higher margins and brand equity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Growth

  • Manage and grow all vouchering products and projects from inception through to delivery, implementation, support, and reporting.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, competitor activity, and emerging trends in the voucher space.
  • Drive the roadmap for product development, ensuring we are delivering value to merchants and corporate partners.

2. Business Development & External Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including Corporate Head Offices, Merchants, and Voucher Suppliers.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and maintain strong relationships to ensure mutual growth and operational excellence.
  • Act as the "face" of the vouchering product in the market, promoting our value proposition.

3. Operational Excellence & Team Management

  • Establish Controls: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal controls for all vouchering functions to ensure efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Supervise Operations: Review and oversee the day-to-day activities of the team (support and sales), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in all matters.
  • Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and coach subordinates. Identify training needs, set clear targets, and performance-manage the team to achieve strategic goals.
  • Sales Strategy: Set strategies and operational requirements for the sales team to drive revenue growth.

4. Delivery & Support

  • Ensure seamless implementation of new voucher products and integrations.
  • Oversee the support staff to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolution of technical issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, Business Development, or Commercial Management, ideally within the Fintech, Payment Solutions, Gift Card, or Retail Technology sectors.
  • Qualification: Sales and Marketing or Business Management Qualification will be highly beneficial
  • Product Lifecycle: Proven track record of taking a product from concept to market and scaling it successfully.
  • Commercial Success: Demonstrated experience in increasing revenue, expanding supplier networks, or growing market share.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience negotiating and managing relationships with C-Suite executives, merchants, and suppliers.
  • Team Leadership: Previous experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team (support and/or sales).

Essential Skills:

  • Strong financial acumen and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and CRM tools.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package including Medical Aid, Group Life and Provident fund.
  • Opportunity to build a business unit from the ground up
  • Opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects.
  • Professional development and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Flexible working hours.
