Waiter

1. Assist in ensuring that the Company provides the highest possible levels of customer service

2. Assist in ensuring that the Company operates in accordance with Company policies, procedures and Internal Control Procedures

3. Assist in ensuring compliance in terms of the RMCP (Risk Management and Compliance Programme)

4. Ensure compliance in terms of POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act)

5. Ensure compliance in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

6. Be attentive and respond timeously and in a pleasant manner to customers

7. Ensure that all service and sales points are stocked according to Galaxy standards in terms of quantity and presentation. Ensure a complete and thorough understanding of the point-of-sale system and ensure that all orders are rung up on the system

8. Assist with the storage of deliveries as required

9. Take customers’ food orders in the prescribed manner, ensuring that all customers are served quickly and correctly while maintaining customer service standards

10. Understand the correct use of cleaning products and assist with necessary cleaning duties as assigned. Ensure that any spillages are cleaned immediately

11. Be knowledgeable on product offerings

12. Collect used crockery, cutlery and glasses at regular intervals in such a way that it does not disturb customers

13. To report all complaints and/or incidents of unhappy customers to Management

14. Safeguard children in the child-minding area when rostered to the area

15. Assist with necessary cleaning duties as directed

16. Adhere to all health and safety and food hygiene regulations

17. Ensure all mise-en-place is completed and all service areas cleaned at the start and end of each shift

18. Ensure that any faulty equipment is reported to Management

19. Consistently demonstrate basic skills as applicable to all staff
