We’re recruiting for a Charismatic Waitron with great wine pairing knowledge and superb people skills to be part of our FOH team.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Welcoming guests and directing them to their seating, ensuring a professional and warm first impression.
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of the menu and introducing dishes with confidence, detail, and great articulation.
- Highlighting chef specials and seasonal offerings where applicable.
- Recommending wine pairings to enhance each dish, supported by engaging stories about regions, producers, and flavour journeys.
- Collaborating regularly with sommeliers and chefs to ensure the right pairings and recommendations are offered.
- Taking accurate orders while identifying and accommodating special dietary requirements.
- Communicating with guests regarding meal availability, preparation times, and waiting periods.
- Managing the flow of service with excellent timing and attention to detail.
- Ensuring tables are correctly set, neat, and presented according to service standards.
- Checking in with guests throughout their dining experience to ensure satisfaction, handle enquiries, and escalate concerns when required.
- Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Processing orders accurately through the POS system.
- Supporting the FOH team to maintain a welcoming, organised, and professional restaurant environment.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Hospitality certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a waiter/waitron or similar Front-of-House role.
- Strong service-oriented individual with excellent guest engagement skills.
- Great wine pairing knowledge and a passion for food and beverage.
- Able to handle challenging guest interactions professionally and work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional, approachable, and committed to creating memorable guest experiences.
- English speaker.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
