Warehouse Controller

Job Overview

The Warehouse Contoller is responsible to process, release, inspect and post picking slips, credit memos, ERV posting docs on receipt from Supervisors. The Warehouse Clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math & computer skills. They must also possess the clerical skills to update records and follow up with various Sales Channel Teams, Operational Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Dispatch on sales issues, credit memos, stock checks and related departmental admin work and tasks & all other related receiving queries. The goal is to ensure accuracy and up to date recording or posting of documentation after being vetted and check by Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric with no criminal record.
• Minimum of 3+years experience in a similar position.
• Tertiary qualification is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with various sales teams, IMD, Operational & Supply chain Managers.
• To liaise in a professional manner
• To ensure that paperwork is duly initialled, signed and authorised upon releasing receipt & capture correct qty's as per picking slips and credit memos
• Verify NAV p/o according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.)
• Contact the sales team affected or IMD immediately if any error is identified, or non-existence of stock after confirmation from Supervisors.
• Ensure picking slips are signed and confirmed by Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
• Assist with receiving and / or dispatching

Skills & knowledge

• Proven experience as dispatching /receiving clerk or similar position
• Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
• Understanding of health and safety regulations
• Basic math and recording abilities
• Good organisational skills
• Great communication and interpersonal abilities
• Keen eye for detail
• Good physical condition due to warehouse requirements
• Must have own transport
• Must have proficiency with MS Office.
• Must reside in Pretoria and/ or surrounding suburbs
