Warehouse Manager

Cox South Africa is looking for a Warehouse Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all activities related to the receipt, storage, inventory management, custody, and distribution of materials, equipment, and tools required for the photovoltaic solar plant project. The role ensures the timely availability of resources while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day warehouse operations on site.
• Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and storage of project materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure full material traceability.
• Supervise the issuance and distribution of materials to construction teams.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure the availability of critical materials.
• Oversee the proper storage and handling of photovoltaic modules, inverters, mounting structures, transformers, cables, and other project-related equipment.
• Coordinate loading and unloading activities.
• Verify packing lists, delivery notes, waybills, and material receiving documents.
• Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and material management requirements.
• Liaise with Procurement, Logistics, Construction, Quality, and HSE departments.
• Conduct routine inventory counts and internal audits.
• Supervise the use and maintenance of material handling equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and lifting devices.
• Manage warehouse personnel and logistics support staff.
• Ensure safe storage conditions and compliance with HSE regulations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly inventory and warehouse performance reports.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management within industrial or construction environments.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy special PV Plants , mining, power transmission, or EPC construction projects.
• Proven experience managing large volumes of materials and equipment.
• Experience with inventory management systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in utility-scale photovoltaic projects (50 MW or larger).
• Experience supervising lifting and material handling operations.
