Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Factory Manager to oversee the full end-to-end manufacturing operations of our facility in JHB. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production, staff, quality, safety, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant operations.

This role requires a strong leader with hands-on manufacturing experience, excellent people management skills, and a deep understanding of production planning and factory performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Operations Management

• Manage end-to-end manufacturing operations, from raw material intake through to finished goods output
• Plan, coordinate, and control production schedules to meet customer demand, quality standards, and delivery deadlines
• Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, equipment, labour, and materials
• Monitor and improve production efficiency, output, and cost control
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all manufacturing processes

Staff & People Management

• Lead, manage, and develop all factory staff, including supervisors, operators, and support teams
• Ensure adequate staffing levels, shift planning, and performance management
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary processes where required
• Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance work culture
• Ensure ongoing skills development and training for factory personnel

Quality, Health & Safety

• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with company quality standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies
• Drive continuous improvement in safety practices and incident prevention
• Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and production deviations

Maintenance & Asset Management

• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of plant, machinery, and equipment
• Work closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Ensure factory infrastructure is maintained in a safe and operational condition

Cost Control & Reporting

• Manage factory budgets, production costs, and operational expenses
• Analyse production data, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive improvements
• Prepare and present regular operational and performance reports to senior management

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and improve productivity
• Drive lean manufacturing, efficiency initiatives, and best-practice manufacturing principles
• Lead change management initiatives within the factory environment

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Warehouse/Factory Manager or similar senior manufacturing management role
• Proven experience managing end-to-end manufacturing operations
• Strong background in staff management, production planning, and factory leadership
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and health & safety regulations
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and performance reporting
• Relevant qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (advantageous)
• MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE AND TRAVEL AT TIMES.
