Job description
The Warehouse Operation Supervisor's (inventory and Risk) key responsibilities is the manage the smooth running of the warehouse picking, putaways and ensuring the accurate fulfilment of all orders to successfully support production. The supervisor is also responsible for the accuracy of inventory within the warehouse and for risk management.
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor (Inventory and Risk) reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
The incumbent in this position is expected to assist the Company in achieving its vision and mission. Customer focus, company growth, and a willingness to assist as needed are expectations from all employees.
Key Duties:
1. Oversee accurate executions of picking tasks
100% accuracy.
Work orders completed on time.
Zero recorded loss in production time.
Manage discrepancies in production task stock.
2. Put-aways and WMS updates
Put-away 24hrs after receipt or return.
WMS Management - ongoing.
Maintain standards - neat, safe on sealed pallets.
3. Inventory Control
Ensure accurate inventory levels are recorded.
100% to Cycle Count Schedule.
100% Counter accuracy.
Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items and high-value items.
Coordinate regular inventory audits.
Keep updated inventory records.
Daily adjustment checking and sign off.
4. Staff Management
Manage staff capacity - according to peaks and valleys.
Timekeeping and absenteeism management.
Staff development and training, including cross-training.
Performance Management.
Disciplinary action - according to the Company Disciplinary Code & Procedures.
Safe work environment - OHASA.
Staff appearance - as per company Uniform Standards and OHASA.
Ensure all staff are trained and adhering to company SOP's and policies.
5. General
Maintenance and good keeping of the Company assets and equipment.
Housekeeping.
Security.
Responsible as part of the team to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
6. Reporting
Reporting accuracy.
Sending reports on time as per requests.
