Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, order
fulfilment, and a safe working environment while leading and motivating the warehouse team

Primary Objectives:
- Implement and Overseeing enforce quality control measures to ensure that products are handled, stored, and shipped in accordance with established standards
- Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and inventory management, to ensure that customer orders are processed and shipped on time
- Enforcing safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff
- Ensure that all pick notes from the section are picked and processed accurately and on time
- Ensure urgent customer requirements are prioritised accordingly
- Ensure that stock destined for the section is put away accurately and on time.
- Conduct daily checks to ensure that the racking and stacking of products is done in compliance with the agreed processes and procedures
- Conduct daily checks on the WMS dashboards, monitoring that stock is handled correctly, in terms of the process flow and allocated roles
- Arrange that machine operators receive the required training to operate equipment
- Escalate operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimise disruptions.
- Produce and communicate operational reports and shift handovers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and service levels.
1. Communication
- Represent the company in all forms of communication, maintaining good working relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, external suppliers, and clients
- Respond to and follow up on all enquiries by email, telephone and personal visits as required
- Responsibility for building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate a strong customer service focus and quality communication and output in all interactions with key stakeholders and external contacts
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise and lead the warehouse team
- Assign tasks and ensure team members work efficiently
- Schedule and coordinate daily tasks
- Provide guidance and training to warehouse staff
3. Inventory Control
- Oversee receiving, storing, and organising inventory
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts
- Implement systems for tracking and managing inventory levels
4. Order Fulfilment
- Supervise the picking, packing, and shipping of orders
- Ensure orders are processed accurately and on time
- Review and optimize order fulfilment processes
- Monitor order picking accuracy
5.Warehouse Organisation
- Ensure a clean and organised warehouse environment
- Optimise warehouse layout for maximum efficiency
- Implement efficient shelving and storage systems
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections
6.Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety regulations and standards
- Conduct regular safety training sessions
- Perform safety audits and inspections
- Address and resolve safety concerns promptly
Minimum experience and competency requirements:
- 3 years tertiary qualification in Supply Chain / Operations/Logistics National Diploma /Degree will be advantageous
- 3-4 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, managing teams
- Managing a WMS controlled environment
- JDA & K8 knowledge will be advantageous
- Drivers Licence
