Warehouse Supervisor

Freedom Stationery is looking for an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Midrand Distribution Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and controlling daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound logistics, accurate inventory management, effective team supervision, and consistent service delivery in line with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor receiving, storage, order picking and dispatch activities.
• Supervise and manage order pickers, forklift drivers, general workers, receiving clerks and drivers.
• Ensure accurate inventory control, bin location management and regular stock counts.
• Investigate and report stock overages, shortages, damages and obsolete stock.
• Coordinate efficient and timely truck loading and delivery schedules.
• Monitor employee performance against operational KPIs and implement corrective action where required.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Maintain accurate warehouse documentation, equipment registers and operational records.
• Prepare and submit monthly operational and statistical reports.
• Liaise effectively with internal departments, suppliers, transport contractors and customers.
• Ensure warehouse procedures and controls are consistently implemented and maintained.
• Promote a safe, disciplined and productive working environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Diploma or qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Warehouse Management will be advantageous.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
• Proven experience in stock control, warehouse systems and fleet coordination.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and Warehouse Management Systems.
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
• A valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
