Warehouse Supervisor

Liberty Liquors (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Pietermaritzburg store

With three conveniently located stores — two in Durban and one in Pietermaritzburg — we are well positioned to meet all liquor requirements. About the Role:

We are seeking a Supervisor to oversee the warehouse operations at our Pietermaritzburg store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant control of the warehouse.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification advantageous but not essential
• Proven warehousing experience (essential)
• Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience
• Computer literacy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong numerical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise overall warehouse operations
• Manage stock movement in and out of the warehouse
• Oversee picking and checking of customer orders, ensuring readiness for dispatch
• Receive stock from suppliers and resolve discrepancies if required
• Update stock and product information on retail software systems
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate variances
• Ensure warehouse equipment and machinery are maintained in good working order
• Complete daily delivery vehicle inspections and address non-conformities
• Handle all required warehouse administration and reporting
• Provide support on the retail floor during peak trading periods

Working hours:

• 45 hour work week: Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 18:00 (1-hour lunch break), Saturday: Between 10:00 – 16:00.
• Must be willing to work overtime, Sundays, and Public Holidays when required. Overtime will be paid at the prescribed rate in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
