Job description
Freedom Stationery is looking for a Warehouse Supply Chain Process Co-ordinator to support the efficient operation of the Mount Edgecombe Warehouse.
The successful candidate will be responsible for warehouse administration, inventory control, Warehouse Management System (WMS) support, operational reporting and process improvement initiatives. The role will also support the warehouse in improving productivity, stock accuracy, process flow and service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support inbound, outbound, inventory, dispatch and distribution processes.

Verify receiving documentation and ensure accurate system transactions.

Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate stock variances.

Provide operational and administrative support on the Warehouse Management System.

Generate and analyse warehouse reports and operational data.

Monitor key warehouse KPIs, including productivity, picking accuracy, stock accuracy and turnaround times.

Assist with stock takes, cycle counts and variance investigations.

Analyse warehouse processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

Assist with time studies, productivity measurements and labour utilisation reviews.

Support warehouse layout, space utilisation and workflow improvement initiatives.

Assist with the development and implementation of SOPs, work instructions and process maps.

Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Conduct root cause analysis and follow up on corrective actions.

Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records.

Support POD compliance, fleet-related reporting and operational cost analysis.

Ensure compliance with company procedures, the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 requirements

Degree/Honours in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related field; alternatively, a National Diploma in one of these disciplines.

2–5 years’ relevant experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, industrial engineering, process improvement or operations support.

Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control and distribution processes.

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be advantageous.

Advanced computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Knowledge of Lean principles, process mapping, time studies, KPI tracking and root cause analysis will be advantageous.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be organised, methodical, proactive and detail oriented.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment and engage with employees, supervisors and management.
