Warehouse Team Leader

Stock Management

• Receipt and issuing of stock.
• Timeous issuing of consumable and reusable stock requirements for production.
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance of stock received to predetermined quality acceptance levels.
• Accurate issuing of stock to various departments, recording and accounting for all stock issued using the printed picking slip system
• Complete GRN of stock received from suppliers and forward to Supervisor - Warehouse
• Ensure all stock procured are captured on the Granite System
• Secure storage and control of stock received using FIFO principles.
• Accurate issuing of stock to the various departments recording and accounting for all stock using a printed picking slip system.
• Controlling and dispatching of goods either for ETO sterilization or to clients according to the ISO QMS methodology and dispatch notes.
• Assist with the weekly, monthly and yearly stock counts.
• Reconcile with stock on hand vs stock levels on the system and report any variances to the Supervisor - Warehouse

Quality and Information recording

• Ensure completion of all required paperwork as per the business requirements
• Adhere to all SOP’s, WI’s and Company rules and regulations.

Health and Safety

• Ensure that the Storemen comply with the health and safety requirements.
• Ensure that the Storemen wear the respective Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Leadership

• Manage the day to day activities of the staff within the warehouse department and allocate tasks accordingly.
• Manage time and attendance of staff members.
• Motivate and maintain staff morale
• Supervise team members to ensure targets are met
• Ensure training activities are conducted
• Responsible for training new recruits
• Address any staff discipline or grievance issue, maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company procedures

Ad Hoc Duties

• Carry out all tasks requested by management
• Assist in areas to prevent backlog of workload accumulation.

Education:

• High School (matric) (Required)

Experience:

• Relevant: 2 years (Required)
• Granite: 1 year (Preferred)
• Warehouse management system: 1 year (Preferred)
