Waterproofer

AAH Construction is seeking a skilled and reliable Waterproofer to join our construction and building maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for waterproofing roofs, walls, balconies, bathrooms, basements, concrete surfaces, and other areas to prevent leaks and water damage.

The candidate must be able to prepare surfaces properly, apply waterproofing systems, and complete all work according to required quality and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Waterproofer or in a similar role
• Experience in construction, building maintenance, repairs, and renovations
• Knowledge of waterproofing systems, sealants, membranes, torch-on applications, liquid rubber, acrylic waterproofing, and roof coatings
• Ability to identify leaks, cracks, damp areas, and waterproofing defects
• Ability to prepare surfaces, clean areas, apply primers, and install waterproofing materials correctly
• Ability to use waterproofing tools and equipment safely
• Must be reliable, punctual, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
• Must follow site health and safety rules at all times

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out waterproofing repairs, installations, and maintenance work
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, grinding, filling cracks, and applying primers
• Apply waterproofing products, membranes, sealants, coatings, and other materials
• Waterproof roofs, bathrooms, balconies, walls, basements, gutters, slabs, and concrete surfaces
• Identify and repair leaks, cracks, damp areas, and water-damaged surfaces
• Ensure waterproofing work is neat, durable, and completed according to specifications
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
• Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor or Construction Supervisor
• Follow all site health and safety procedures
• Assist with other general construction and maintenance duties when required
