MyHealthcare Group (MHC) is a growing integrated healthcare organisation with clinics across the UK and a central operations hub in Westville, Durban.

We are now looking for a Website Developer with solid design skills to take full ownership of our digital presence.

THE ROLE

The website is your primary responsibility. You will build it, maintain it, develop it, and keep it performing. The design work supports that — creating assets and visuals that feed directly into our online presence and marketing activity.

This is an office-based role in Westville. We need someone who takes initiative, works independently, and holds themselves accountable for everything that goes live.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Website — Primary Responsibility

• Own the MHC website end-to-end — you are responsible for everything on it
• Build, update, and maintain pages in WordPress — new service pages, landing pages, campaign pages, and structural changes
• Work confidently with page builders and manage themes, plugins, and site settings
• Ensure the site is always fast, mobile-responsive, and working correctly across all devices and browsers
• Apply HTML and CSS edits where needed — you should not need a developer for routine in-theme work
• Monitor and maintain site security — updates, backups, and uptime
• Implement on-page SEO best practices — metadata, page structure, image optimisation, and internal linking
• Proactively identify and fix issues — broken links, slow pages, outdated content
• Brief and liaise with external developers when requirements go beyond in-house scope

Graphic Design — Supporting Responsibility

• Design digital assets for the website and marketing — banners, social media graphics, email headers, and promotional materials
• Work with our inhouse marketing team to produce print-ready materials when needed — flyers, leaflets, and in-clinic signage
• Keep all visual work consistent with MHC brand guidelines across all channels
• Support the Marketing Manager and team with design requests as they arise

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

• Minimum 3 years of experience in website development — with a portfolio of live WordPress sites you have built or managed
• WordPress expertise — themes, plugins, page builders, and back-end management without needing external developer support
• Confident with Elementor, Divi, or a comparable page builder
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS — able to troubleshoot, customise, and make in-theme edits independently
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals — on-page structure, metadata, site speed, and mobile optimisation
• Graphic design capability — proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Canva Pro
• Strong attention to detail — nothing goes live with errors, broken elements, or off-brand visuals
• Self-directed and accountable — you manage your own workload and flag issues before they escalate
• Experience with Google Analytics and Search Console for performance tracking
• Familiarity with basic JavaScript or PHP for minor customisations
• Experience creating short-form video content for web or social media
