We are looking for a qualified and experienced hairdresser to join our national education team as a Hairdressing Educator for the Cape Town and Western Cape region.

About the Role

You will deliver product education, demonstrations and training to salon professionals and internal sales teams. You will also provide technical and sales support, assist customers in salons, participate in launches and events, and manage the administration and demonstration stock associated with your training activity.

Success in this position requires excellent communication and relationship-building skills, strong technical knowledge, dependable administration and a genuine passion for introducing and supporting professional salon products.

What you’ll be doing

Product education and training

• Deliver engaging product demonstrations and workshops in salons, studios and virtual environments.
• Create and deliver suitable educational content through social media platforms.
• Train salon professionals and internal sales teams on new and existing products.
• Explain product features, applications and technical information clearly and accurately.

Sales and customer support

• Work closely with sales consultants to support promotional cycles.
• Keep informed about competitor activity and relevant industry trends.
• Provide in-salon technical assistance, product guidance and advice.
• Investigate and resolve product-related complaints professionally.

Events and product launches

• Style models for product launches, shows and seminars.
• Assist with marketing events and new-product introductions.
• Represent the company and its brands professionally during training sessions and industry events.

Administration and stock management

• Submit accurate reports covering training and education activities.
• Complete required time and expense records in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain, monitor and account for demonstration stock.
• Ensure sales aids, promotional materials and training resources remain in excellent condition.

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• Matric/Grade 12.
• A certified hairdresser qualification.
• A completed Trade Test.
• Five years’ experience working as a qualified stylist in a salon.
• A valid Code 8 driving licence.
• A reliable vehicle.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with customers, salon professionals, sales colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Exceptional presentation, product-demonstration and training abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and people skills.
• A professional, client-facing presentation.
• The ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating initiative, creativity and integrity.
• The ability to use social media platforms effectively for communication and educational initiatives.

Desirable requirements

• Previous relevant experience in a similar education, technical support or professional haircare position.

Employment Details

Location: This is a hybrid field sales position, our Head Office is in Epping, Cape Town

Remuneration: Basic salary according to skills and experience, plus incentives, fuel card, and phone allowance
