Wellness Head Chef

A fast-growing, health-focused café and juicery brand in Cape Town is looking for a visionary HEAD CHEF to join their team.

This role goes beyond running a kitchen. You'll be shaping menus, recipes and wellness products that support the brand's growth into a recognised name in functional, nutrition-led food, working primarily out of a central production kitchen while guiding consistency and innovation across all store locations.

Core Criteria:

• Solid experience in recipe development, costing and scalable food production
• Strong understanding of nutrition, functional ingredients and wellness-focused cooking (gut health, immunity, fermentation, plant-forward menus)
• Proven ability to balance creativity with commercial viability
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-stage environment
• Genuine passion for food as a tool for health and longevity

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop seasonal menus aligned with the brand's wellness positioning
• Create, test and cost recipes that are nutritious, scalable and commercially sound
• Design juice cleanses, functional wellness shots and healing broths
• Develop ready-to-eat meals, snacks, frozen items and pantry products for online retail
• Research global food trends and nutritional science to keep offerings current
• Maintain consistency and quality standards across all store locations
• Collaborate with leadership on long-term brand and product strategy

On Offer:

• Salary: R15,000 to R18,000 per month, depending on experience
• Full-time position based in Cape Town
