The Stellenbosch Collection is looking for an energetic and sales-driven Brand Ambassador to represent our portfolio across Gauteng and outlying regions.

Representing Rust en Vrede, Guardian Peak, Stellenbosch Reserve, Donkiesbaai, Cirrus and Afrikaans, we are looking for someone with a genuine love for wine, a passion for sales and the drive to grow our brands in the market.

This is a hands-on sales role focused on finding new business, growing existing accounts and building strong relationships across the wine, hospitality and retail industries. You need to be confident approaching new customers, spotting opportunities and adapting your approach to different people and markets.

What the role involves:

• Managing and growing business across restaurants, hotels, bars, liquor stores, corporate clients and private customers
• Finding and securing new business across the on-trade, retail, corporate and private markets
• Working closely with our distributor to identify market gaps and sales opportunities
• Using a creative, out-of-the-box approach to grow our brands and open new accounts
• Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets across all brands
• Planning, organizing and hosting wine dinners, tastings, activations, waiter training and customer events
• Assisting customers with orders and day-to-day sales support
• Managing your own customer call plan, administration and follow-ups

What we are looking for:

• Degree / Diploma in Business, Commerce or Marketing
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle (essential)
• Well-spoken in both Afrikaans and English
• A genuine love for wine, with passion and energy for sales
• Strong sales, negotiation and new business development skills
• Confident, outgoing and comfortable speaking to people at all levels
• Able to adapt to different customers and markets
• Strong time management, planning, administration and computer skills (MS Office)
• Professional, confident and well-presented, with appropriate business attire
• Driven, competitive and focused on achieving targets
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and follow through on commitments
• Regular travel across Gauteng and outlying regions is essential
• Must be available to work after hours from time to time, including evenings and weekends, for events, tastings and wine dinners
• Experience in wine sales, FMCG, hospitality or retail is an advantage
• An existing Gauteng trade/hospitality network, good wine knowledge or a recognized wine qualification (e.g. WSET / Cape Wine Academy) will be a strong advantage

What we offer:

Market-related basic salary + commission/incentives + Travel & Cellphone allowance.
