Job description

Phalusa Enterprise (Pty) Ltd is seeking 4 Certified Working at Heights Technicians to join our team for an upcoming project. The successful candidates must possess a valid Working at Heights certificate and be capable of working safely in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.

This is a permanent position subject to the successful award of a tender, with the possibility of future opportunities based on performance and project requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Working at Heights Certificate (mandatory and must be certified)
Previous experience working at heights in industrial, construction, port, or plant environments
Medically fit to work at heights
Knowledge of fall protection systems and safe work procedures
Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Valid South African ID or legal authorization to work in South Africa

Key Responsibilities

Perform work safely at elevated heights using approved fall protection equipment.
Conduct pre-use inspections of harnesses, lanyards, and other height safety equipment.
Follow all site-specific safety procedures and risk assessments.
Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas.
Comply with all company and client safety policies.

Advantageous

Valid driver's licence
Experience in port, industrial, or plant environments
Additional safety certifications such as Fall Arrest Rescue, First Aid, or Fire Fighting
