Workshop Foreman

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy automotive panel shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workshop productivity, maintaining high-quality repair standards, managing staff, and delivering exceptional customer service while meeting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations and staff.
• Monitor repair progress and repair, inspect completed work, and resolve technical issues.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate workshop personnel, and communicate with customers or management on job progress.
• Maintain strict quality control procedures to ensure repairs comply with OEM, manufacturer, insurance, and company standards.
• Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle delivery.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and safety-focused working environment.
• Monitor workshop efficiency, productivity, labour utilisation, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Prepare and present operational and performance reports to Directors.
• Maintain discipline and lead lead the workshop team

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' management experience within an automotive panel shop.
• Proven experience in a workshop environment, including supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of workshop equipment and repair/maintenance processes.
• Good communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Valid drivers licence.

Computer literacy and the ability to complete reports and manage work schedules.

Pay: R11 926,20 - R47 733,74 per month
