Job description

VACANCY: WORKSHOP MANAGER

Both local and non-local applicants are invited to apply.

Location: Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) & Project: R335 Motherwell to Addo

Project Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Intertrading Africa (Pty) Ltd invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Workshop Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage daily workshop operations and supervise workshop personnel.
Plan and oversee preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
Ensure plant and equipment are serviced and maintained to manufacturer and company standards.
Monitor equipment availability, workshop productivity, and maintenance costs.
Manage job cards, maintenance records, and spare parts inventory.
Coordinate suppliers and external service providers.
Ensure compliance with company policies, SHEQ requirements, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Prepare maintenance reports and recommend improvements to fleet reliability.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining heavy construction plant, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of yellow plant, diesel engines, hydraulics, and workshop management.
Valid driver's license and computer literacy.
