Worsmaker

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Worsmaker to join our butchery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and production of wors and related products, ensuring high-quality standards, consistency, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and produce wors and related products according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure correct portioning, spicing, mixing, and filling processes are followed.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the production area.
• Monitor product freshness, quality, and presentation.
• Assist with stock rotation and control of ingredients.
• Support the butchery team with general duties as required.
• Provide excellent service and uphold Spar’s standards of quality.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in worsmaking/butchery production is essential.
• Knowledge of meat handling, hygiene, and food safety practices.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
