Are you a motivated young person looking for an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience? Our Further Processing Plant in Germiston is offering youth an opportunity to participate in the YES for Youth Programme.

We are recruiting motivated and committed youth to join our 12-month placement programme, commencing on 1 November 2026.

Successful candidates will receive workplace exposure in a food-production environment and participate in practical training and skills-development activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Meet the applicable YES for Youth Programme eligibility requirements.
• Have a minimum of Grade 12
• Be willing and able to work in a production and food-processing environment.
• Be prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when operationally required.
• Be reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Be able to follow workplace safety, hygiene, quality and operational instructions.
• Reside in Germiston or surrounding areas, or be able to travel reliably to the workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production and operational activities.
• Support the loading, packaging and handling of further processed chicken products.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe working environment.
• Follow all safety, food-quality and company procedures.
• Assist with stock control and the completion of production records.
• Participate in workplace training and skills-development programmes.
• Report hazards, defects, incidents or unsafe conditions to the relevant supervisor.
• Work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Assist with basic maintenance and general plant tasks when required.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors to support plant operations
