Role Description The Administrative Assistant is a contract, on-site role based in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This role supports daily office operations by managing correspondence, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized electronic and paper records. The Administrative Assistant assists with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and tracking incoming and outgoing legal documentation. The role also involves supporting executive-level staff with calendar management, meeting preparation, and basic report compilation. The successful candidate will interact with internal team members and external stakeholders in a professional manner, ensuring smooth office workflow and timely completion of administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative assistance and clerical skills, including filing, data entry, and document handling
- Professional phone etiquette and clear, courteous communication skills
- Experience providing executive administrative assistance, such as calendar coordination and meeting support
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accuracy under deadlines
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and basic database use)
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling legal and sensitive information
- Previous experience in a legal, government, or highly regulated environment is an advantage
- Relevant certificate or diploma in office administration or a related field is preferred
Pay: R4 343,26 - R10 000,00 per month
