Job description
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Blitz Team Member to join our Consumer Electronics division. In this role, you will be the primary driver of retail excellence, responsible for delivering client KPIs by increasing sell-out, maintaining retail assets, and executing high-impact in-store displays. You will serve as a strategic partner to store owners and managers, ensuring our brand maintains a dominant presence on the retail floor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Sell-Out Strategy
- Execute consistent call cycles and manage the returned/damaged goods system.
- Monitor and communicate in-store pricing, ensuring total alignment with promotional briefs.
- Implement sales promotional activities and provide comprehensive feedback to stakeholders.
- Train store sales consultants on product knowledge and manage their registration on the MCS platform.
- Capture critical sell-out data via Handheld Terminals (HHT) for real-time reporting.
2. Shelf Health and Merchandising
- Optimize stock levels by monitoring slow and fast-moving lines to prevent out-of-stocks.
- Merchandise available stock in accordance with the client brief and planograms.
- Negotiate with store management to secure prime positioning for the product portfolio.
- Identify and implement cross-merchandising opportunities to increase brand visibility.
3. Promotional Execution and Blitz Activities
- Negotiate and implement Point of Purchase (POP) materials with store leadership.
- Lead "Blitz" activities, including new store openings and the build-up of major promotional events.
- Monitor competitor innovations and provide detailed market intelligence reports.
- Ensure all in-store staff understand promotional mechanics to maximize customer conversion.
4. Administration and Customer Service
- Maintain accurate reporting on competitor activities and monthly promotional calendars.
- Ensure all retail assets are maintained according to company policy.
- Resolve customer complaints and queries promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Build and maintain long-term, professional business relationships with key retail partners.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Diploma at NQF Level 5.
- Experience: 2–3 years of proven sales experience specifically within the Consumer Electronics sector.
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License (Code 8) is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in effective administration and HHT data capture.
- Leadership: Strong team management skills with the ability to lead in-store staff during activations.
- Competencies: High degree of agility, resilience, and a performance-driven mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for reporting and negotiation.
