Job description

Desktop Support Engineers to join a 4-month project based in Stellenbosch, starting in September 2026. The successful candidates will provide onsite desktop support, troubleshooting, hardware deployments and end-user assistance within a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide onsite desktop and end-user support.

Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops and peripheral devices.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and operating system issues.

Perform desktop deployments, replacements, upgrades and imaging.

Support Microsoft Windows 10/11 environments and Microsoft 365 applications.

Configure printers, scanners and other end-user devices.

Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.

Log, update and resolve incidents through the IT Service Management system.

Escalate complex technical issues where required.

Ensure all work is completed within agreed service levels (SLAs).

Maintain accurate documentation and asset information.

Travel between sites when required.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years' experience in Desktop Support or End User Computing.

Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 environments.

Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.

Working knowledge of Active Directory (user administration, password resets and account management).

Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP).

Experience with desktop imaging and hardware installations.

Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements

Own reliable vehicle.

Valid South African driver's licence.

Clear criminal record (background checks will be conducted).

Willing and able to travel between sites when required.

Available to start in September 2026.
