Experience Host

A Tourism based company in Franschhoek is looking for a vibrant, friendly and service-oriented Experience Host/Hostess. The candidate must have excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and talk clearly to members of the public and large groups of people from varying backgrounds.

The individual needs to be passionate about the Hospitality/Tourism industry. They need to be committed to providing the highest level of customer service and have the ability to stay calm and handle difficult situations confidently and sensitively.

We operate on a 7-day basis including Public Holidays, thus you will be required to work weekends and public holidays.

Key Objectives:

• To provide excellent levels of care and service to all visitors – striving to create a tailored experience for each visitor, as a proactive and engaged member of the team. At all times to ensure that visitors have a safe and enjoyable visit, in accordance with the Visitor Experience operating guidelines.
• To undertake a stewarding role as requested under the direction of the Visitor Services Manager or designated manager. This will include checking tickets, directing visitors, answering questions and making sure that all areas are clean and presentable.
• In addition to regular Host duties, Ticket Office trained team members will be expected:
• To work in the Ticket Office, advising visitors on ticket purchase
• To welcome and advise visitors on service
• To pro-actively build good product knowledge
• To keep the Ticket Office and admissions areas presentable, clean and tidy.

Requirements:

• Must reside in the Franschhoek/Paarl/Stellenbosch Area
• Must be fluent in English, Afrikaans
• Must have Matric Certificate
• Must have experience in Tourism/Hospitality Sector
• Tourism Guide Qualification will be advantageous
