Finishing Machine Operator

JOB TITLE: Finishing (GED)

DESCRIPTION: All Finishing Equipment Operators. Excludes Mgrs/Spvsrs

EXAMPLES: Cutters, Seamers, Finishers, Packers (non-whse), Folders, Turret Rewinders, Kitting, ROR.

LABOR COST CODE: Variable - Direct

LEVEL: non-mgrs

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a versatile individual with the capability to run and / or have knowledge of conversion machinery (Slitting Machines, Rework, Strech & Shrink Sealing Machines) and have comprehensive knowledge of product mix offered by MCC Label Durban.

THE ROLE:

In this exciting role, you will:

• To set up and run the allocated machine.
• Ensure quality standards maintained.
• Run the machine at its optimum capability while maintaining efficiency.
• Consistently produce products that conform to all customer specifications.
• Ensure no and /or minimum waste is generated.
• Always ensure general maintenance and machine housekeeping.
• Participate in all rejected product investigations.
• Open to Multi-skilling.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Matric Certificate.
• High levels of accuracy.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to perceive.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Must be able to solve problems.
• Must be prepared to work shifts.
• Must Flexible.
• Be accountable and Responsible.
