HR Director

The HR Director provides expert leadership across all aspects of South African labour law and industrial relations, managing complex disciplinary, grievance, and restructuring processes while proactively building internal IR capability and strengthening union relationships and labour risk management with the support of shared services. The role is also responsible for driving Employment Equity and BBBEE initiatives in line with statutory requirements, ensuring the delivery of all reporting and compliance obligations, and promoting a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. In addition, the incumbent leads talent management, succession planning, and retention strategies, while driving employee engagement, organisational culture, and development initiatives to build leadership capability across the business. The HR Director ensures the delivery of an efficient and value-added HR service, overseeing HR team performance, capability, and service delivery, while maintaining visibility, accessibility, and effectiveness across the function. Furthermore, the role oversees employee wellness services, including clinic and EWP programmes, to promote employee health and wellbeing, and maintains strong governance, reporting, and HR compliance frameworks.

Post Graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

10 years plus senior level HR management experience, exposure to shared service HR delivery advantageous. Role requires a Senior HR Leader with strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
