Job description
VACANCY: HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR
Location: TREE Head Office, Durban
Reports to: HR Manager/Functional reporting to Project Manager
Contract: Fixed-term (1st of October-30th of June 2027)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (08:00–16:00). Working hours may vary according to project requirements. Where employees are required to work outside of normal working hours, Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) will be provided in accordance with TREE’s policy.
About the Role
TREE is looking for an organised, detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide HR administrative and operational support across the organisation, with the majority of the role focused on HR administration for the Kuyakhanya Project and its Community Playgroup Facilitators (CPFs).
Minimum Requirements
· Degree in Human Resources Management/ Industrial Psychology
· 2–3 years' experience in HR administration.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
· Proficiency in English and isiZulu
Key Responsibilities
1.Kuyakhanya HR Administration
· Coordinate CPF vetting and maintain CPF personnel records.
· Prepare and maintain CPF Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
· Administer CPF HR inductions, onboarding and exits.
· Verify CPF personal and banking information.
· Review and verify CPF timesheets submitted through Kobo to ensure accuracy, completeness and validity.
· Identify and resolve timesheet discrepancies before stipend processing.
· Prepare and verify monthly CPF stipend schedules.
· Conduct cross-checks of stipend information across Kuyakhanya districts.
· Provide HR administrative support to Project Coordinators and Project Manager.
2.TREE HR Administration
· Provide administrative support to the HR Manager across HR functions.
· Maintain employee files, HR databases and HR records.
· Support recruitment, onboarding and employee exits.
· Assist with payroll administration, leave records, UIF and employee benefits.
· Support performance management and employee relations administration.
· Assist with HR compliance, Employment Equity and BBBEE administration.
· Support Workplace Forum, employee wellness and Health & Safety administration.
· Assist with HR reports, statistics and HR projects.
