Logistics Officer (Durban based)

Your Tasks

• Operational Execution

Warehouse

• Monitor warehouse capacity and ensure efficient stock and IDT execution.
• Manage 3PL operations, stock accuracy, damaged stock and ERP issues.
• Lead regular 3PL meetings and resolve operational exceptions.

Secondary Transportation

• Monitor deliveries, resolve exceptions and track 3PL service level performance.

Reverse Logistics

• Manage returns, customer claims and timely clearance of return stock.

Other

• Support stock takes and ensure timely completion of month, quarter and year-end activities.

Inbound Logistics

• Coordinate carriers, freight forwarders and clearing agents to ensure timely shipments, accurate documentation and clear ETA communication.
• Reporting
• Monitor, validate and report 3PL Logistics KPIs through the monthly dashboard.
• 3PL Billing
• Validate 3PL billing against agreed rate cards and approve invoices.
• Continuous Improvement & Projects
• Identify operational improvements and ensure sustainable implementation in line with BDF standards and controls.

Your Profile

• Experience

2-3 work experience years ideally in FMCG

• Qualification

University or similar degree – ideally in B.Admin/B.Com

• Skills
• High Level of attention to detail
• Computer literate i.e. proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power point)
• Must be proactive, takes initiative.
• Multitasking and excellent organizational skills, clear communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills.

• A good understanding of Logistics principles and standards
• Good knowledge of SAP module. Ideally module LE. SD and MM of advantage
