Produce Merchandiser

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Produce Merchandiser to join our retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the fresh produce department is well-stocked, attractively displayed, and maintained to the highest standards of freshness and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Merchandise and replenish fresh fruit and vegetable displays.
• Monitor product quality and remove damaged or expired stock.
• Ensure shelves and displays are neat, clean, and well-presented.
• Rotate stock according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and pricing stock.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and food safety standards.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Ensure stock availability and report shortages to management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Previous merchandising or retail experience will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of fresh produce and stock rotation practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock when required.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
