Job description
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- COMSOC 1 & 2 / SAMTRAC / Relevant Certificate or Diploma in Safety
- Experience of Health and Safety Administration on an opencast Mine at least 5 years
SKILLS:
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- System knowledge MySHEQ or similar safety system
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capture incident and accident investigation reports and distribute to management
- Capture VFL’s and high potential hazards and record close out
- Capture minutes of H&S Meetings
- Assist in checking safety files for compliance
- Month end reporting and safety statistics
- Record and file inspections
- Update system with incidents, labour returns, audits etc.
- Keep record of DMPR communication
- Review, update and distribute documents for maintenance and quality
- Keep record of SOP’s, risk assessments and code of practice for all departments
- Create legal appointments and submit to DMPR
