SHEQ Operations Intern

The successful candidate will assist in implementing management systems, preparing compliance documentation, supporting client projects, conducting inspections and audits, coordinating training activities, and ensuring efficient day to day operational support.

This position is designed to provide practical workplace experience while contributing to the achievement of the iSHEQ's operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
• Prepare, review and update SHEQ documentation, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, legal registers and safe work procedures.
• Client site visits, inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
• Assist in preparing training material, learner documentation and project files.
• Maintain accurate client records and operational documentation.
• Coordinate administrative activities relating to consulting and training projects.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action follow-up where required.
• Support ISO implementation and internal audit activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations and operational documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
• Perform any other reasonable operational duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Support the Sales and Marketing Department with product information and client presentations.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management or a related field.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative ability.
• Willingness to travel.

Preferred Requirements

• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Own reliable transport will be an advantage.
• Ability to communicate in English and one or more South African languages.
• Previous exposure to SHEQ consulting, ISO Management Systems or compliance environments will be an advantage.

Remuneration

• Monthly Stipend: R4,000.00
• Eligible to the iSHEQ Group performance-based commission programme in accordance with the company's commission policy.

Pay: R4 000,00 per month
