This Storeman/Sales Advisor position is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely picking, packing and dispatch of AFRIT parts and accessories, managing inventory, maintaining a secure warehouse and providing professional sales support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick, pack and dispatch AFRIT trailer parts and accessories, adhering to customer requirements and deadlines.
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of parts to customers.
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Perform daily cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy and oversee stock control practices.
- Conduct regular stock takes at allocated locations, leading efforts to ensure inventory is up-to-date and accurate.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, including cleaning bins, racks, aisles and equipment.
- Review and optimise warehouse layout to improve picking, packing efficiency and overall productivity.
- Manage the clearing, binning and storage of received goods to ensure proper stock handling.
- Implement strategies to enhance warehouse productivity, efficiency, and accuracy in daily operations.
- Restrict warehouse access to authorized personnel only, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Oversee the process for handling returns and scrapping damaged parts, following appropriate procedures.
- Review non-moving stock on a monthly basis and report findings to management.
- Assist in cycle counts, stock takes and the returns process to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure accurate part orders to prevent obsolete stock and manage profitability through proper stock management practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and customers.
- Aggressively pursue monthly sales objectives, following up on sales quotas and ensuring unpicked orders are addressed.
- Engage customers with passion, courtesy and professionalism to drive parts sales and increase revenue.
- Provide regular updates to customers on order status, ensuring high satisfaction and managing expectations.
- Monitor backorders and offer accurate estimated times of arrival (ETAs) to customers.
- Upsell trailer parts and accessories to boost sales revenue while adhering to pricing policies and maintaining profitability margins.
- Process sales documentation, including invoices, orders and delivery receipts, ensuring they are scanned and filed daily.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12
Relevant qualification will be beneficial
±2 years part sales experience
±2 years warehousing/inventory/stock control
Knowledge of trailer parts, accessories and their applications.
Familiarity with inventory control systems, warehouse layout optimization and stocktaking procedures.
Ability to sell parts and accessories, upsell products and meet sales targets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing both internal and external customer relationships.
Computer Literacy in MS Office and ERS system (essential)
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in picking, packing and stock management.
Problem solving: Ability to handle customer complaints and issues effectively and efficiently.
Sales Acumen: Capable of identifying sales opportunities and driving sales growth.

- High School (matric) (Required)
Experience:
- sales: 2 years (Required)
- warehousing/stock control: 2 years (Preferred)
