Technical Sales Representative – Construction & Waterproofing

We are a growing supplier of high-quality waterproofing and construction products, specializing in APP torch-on waterproofing membranes and a range of complementary waterproofing systems and accessories. We pride ourselves on supplying reliable products, technical expertise, and outstanding customer service to contractors, builders, developers, and merchants.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Representative who has a solid understanding of the construction industry and can combine strong sales ability with practical technical knowledge.

The Role

As a Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for growing our customer base, developing long-term relationships, and promoting our range of waterproofing products. Beyond sales, we're looking for someone who can bring valuable industry knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of our product range.

You'll work closely with management to identify market opportunities, recommend new products, and help ensure we continue offering solutions that meet the evolving needs of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, roofing companies, waterproofing contractors, merchants, suppliers, and developers.
• Prospect new clients through phone calls, networking, site visits, and referrals.
• Promote and sell our range of APP torch-on membranes and complementary waterproofing products.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable product solutions.
• Provide customers with technical advice and product recommendations.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Meet and exceed sales targets.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and market developments.
• Recommend new products and systems that would strengthen and expand our product offering.
• Share technical knowledge and industry insights to assist with product selection, sourcing, and business growth.
• Work collaboratively with management to identify new opportunities within the waterproofing and construction sectors.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous sales experience within the construction, building materials, roofing, waterproofing, or related industries.
• A solid understanding of construction products and building practices.
• Technical knowledge that enables you to confidently discuss products with contractors and identify opportunities to expand our product range.
• The ability to recommend new products or systems that would add value to our business and customers.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, self-driven attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferred).
• A valid driver's licence (preferred if travel is required).

• APP or SBS torch-on waterproofing membranes
• Waterproofing systems

• Waterproofing installation or contracting
