Warehouse Assistant- Inbound Fresh

Babylonstoren is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse, storage and shipping operations. The successful candidate will assist with receiving goods, managing stock, preparing orders and maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and unload incoming shipments.
• Check and verify goods against purchase orders.
• Move and place products on shelves or designated racks.
• Pick and pack the correct items for customer orders.
• Load outgoing orders onto delivery vehicles.
• Use barcode scanners and computer systems.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Assist with physical stock counts.
• Monitor and report stock levels.
• Keep workstations and aisles clean and free of hazards.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear the required protective equipment.

Requirements and advantageous experience

• Previous warehouse experience will be advantageous.
• Experience working in a cold-chain environment will be advantageous.
• A valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s licence will be advantageous.
• A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) will be advantageous.
• Ability to perform physically demanding duties.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
