About Us \| Leading UK Cloud Solutions Provider \| Babble

 **Job Description** **Join Our Dynamic Team as a Product Operations Analyst \- Cyber!**

Are you passionate about telecoms? Do you thrive in a fast\-paced, innovative environment? At Babble, we’re on a mission to be our customer’s most trusted advisor for cloud\-based technologies. We’re looking for passionate and talented individuals to join our dynamic team. If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

**What will you be doing?**

Babble's Cyber Security function runs a portfolio of managed services that need to be documented, operated and continuously improved as a genuine product function serving the wider business. This role exists to take the repeatable operational load off the product lead — producing and maintaining service documentation, running vendor onboarding, and building the management information that shows how our services perform — while learning the processes of product operations end to end.

This is a growth role. You will start by owning well\-defined operational work and, over time, taking on more judgement, more ownership of process, and a real hand in shaping how the Cyber product function operates. Success will result in the product lead being freed to focus on strategy and delivery because you are running the operational engine reliably and implementing improvements.

**Accountabilities and Deliverables:**

**Documentation production (day one priority)**

* Produce branded service documentation — Service Descriptions, Service Schedules, Operational Handbooks, service pages and proposals — by working from our templates and house style.
* Keep the documentation set current: version control, track what needs updating when services change, and make sure customers and internal teams are always working from the right document.
* Draft first\-pass content from source material and briefs so nothing starts from a blank page.

**Vendor onboarding and management**

* Run our vendor onboarding process end to end using the onboarding checklist — working through each item against the vendor, logging findings with provenance, and flagging gaps.
* Chase open actions to closure and keep vendor records accurate and up to date.
* Build familiarity with our key security vendors and what "good" looks like in an onboarding.
* Management information and reporting
* Pull together service metrics and build the reports and dashboards that show how our services are performing.
* Prepare board\-facing and customer\-facing packs to a high, consistent standard.
* Turn raw operational data into a clear story the business can act on.

**Operational support and improvement**

* Support workshop and project coordination — agendas, action logs, backlog hygiene, follow\-ups — including multi\-party sessions with customers and vendors.
* Keep operational trackers, logs and follow\-ups moving, chasing on age so nothing stalls.
* As you learn the function, identify where our processes are slow, manual or inconsistent, and propose and drive improvements.

 **How you'll grow**

This role is designed as a path into the Cyber product function. You'll start with defined operational work, then progressively take on more responsibility, deeper involvement in service design, product propositions and platform initiatives, as you build knowledge of the business. The ambition is for you to become a trusted operator who not only runs the function's operations but helps improve how it serves the business.

 **Qualifications**

* 1–3 years in an IT, security or operations role, with enough grounding to pick up cyber security concepts quickly.
* Genuinely strong written English and a sharp eye for documentation — structure, accuracy, consistency and presentation.
* Confident with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); comfortable producing professional, branded documents and building reports.
* Organised and dependable — you track things to closure, follow up proactively, and don't let work drift.
* Analytical and curious — you enjoy turning data into insight and asking why a process works the way it does.
* Self\-starting and comfortable with ambiguity; happy to produce a first draft and refine it rather than wait for perfect instructions.

**Nice to have**

* Exposure to managed security services, SOC/MXDR, or working with security vendors.
* Experience with product operations, service management or a documentation\-heavy role.
* Familiarity with ticketing, MI/BI or documentation tooling.

 **Additional Information** **Why work for Babble?**

* Risk cover, including Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover, funeral benefits, and some disability benefits.
* 22 days’ annual leave plus UK bank holidays, with increased entitlement based on length of service.
* 5% allowance based on basic salary, which can be allocated towards medical aid.
* UPS provided to assist with load shedding (2–4 hours of laptop power).
* Babble‑issued laptop.
* Annual company celebrations.
* Home‑working policy.

**Home\-Working Policy**

* The role is home‑based, and a stable internet connection is required.
* You are responsible for having a solution in place to mitigate load shedding to ensure you can work your normal shifts effectively. Working from a public space is not considered an acceptable solution.
* As a home worker, you are expected to have a suitable work setup, including a desk and chair, in a quiet space.

**The recruitment journey**

We want to fill this role quickly, but we want to get the right person. The recruitment process will consist of a screening call. If you proceed past this then you will have an interview over Teams and possibly a follow up interview and competency testing depending on the role requirements.

 **Job Description** **Join Our Dynamic Team as a Solutions Architect!**

**Purpose of the Role**

The Solutions Architect is the senior technical authority within the Babble Professional Services team and a hands\-on technical delivery resource. The core focus of the role is the technical implementation, configuration and deployment of customer solutions across Modern Workplace, Cyber Security, Network and Backup/DR domains. Operating as a Level 3 Engineer, the role leads and performs hands\-on deployment on complex, high\-risk and multi\-domain projects and sets the technical standard for how solutions are built and configured across the team.

The role also owns the design phase of customer engagements, producing High\-Level Designs, Low\-Level Designs and Statements of Work that translate requirements into buildable, production\-ready solutions. Design and deployment are treated as a single continuum: the Solutions Architect is accountable for the technical quality of the solution from design through to a working, tested and handed\-over deployment, and stays hands\-on throughout.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead hands\-on implementation on complex, high\-risk or multi\-domain projects including Azure Virtual Desktop deployments, complex network architectures, multi\-tenant security configurations, hybrid identity environments, and large\-scale migration programmes.
* Produce High\-Level Designs and Low\-Level Designs for customer solutions across Modern Workplace, Cyber Security, Network and Backup/DR domains, defining the technical architecture, configuration specifications, integration requirements, and dependencies that form the basis of all Professional Services delivery.
* Author Statements of Work that clearly define project scope, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, acceptance criteria, and delivery milestones, ensuring commercial and technical alignment between what has been sold and what will be delivered.
* Provide technical guidance and design assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle, reviewing implementation progress against HLD/LLD specifications, validating configuration decisions made by fellow engineers and advising on deviations from the approved design where necessary.
* Act as a senior technical resource for the wider Professional Services team, providing guidance on design ambiguities, environment conflicts, vendor\-specific technical issues, and scope boundary questions to support effective project delivery across all levels.
* Support pre\-sales technical activities including customer scoping calls, solution qualification, technical feasibility assessments, and design input for proposals, ensuring opportunities are technically sound and deliverable before commitment to Statement of Work.
* Conduct technical design reviews with customers to validate requirements, confirm design assumptions, identify risks, and secure sign\-off on the proposed solution architecture before delivery commences.
* Define and maintain technical standards, deployment checklists, configuration baselines, and design templates used across the Professional Services team, ensuring consistency and quality across all project deliveries.
* Validate UAT results and technical acceptance for projects where the Solutions Architect has produced the design, confirming that the delivered solution meets the specifications defined in the HLD/LLD and Statement of Work.
* Mentor and develop Level 1 and Level 2 engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, knowledge sharing and structured feedback, actively supporting career progression and capability uplift within the Professional Services team.
* Collaborate with the Service Desk, NOC, and managed services teams to ensure solutions are designed for operational supportability, including monitoring requirements, escalation paths, documentation standards, and ongoing managed service compatibility.
* Contribute to vendor relationship management by maintaining advanced certifications, attending vendor technical briefings, evaluating new product capabilities, and advising on the evolution of the Babble solution portfolio.
* Identify and communicate project risks, design constraints and technical dependencies to Project Managers, the Solutions Delivery Manager and customers, providing clear recommendations and mitigation options to support informed decision\-making.
* Lead post\-implementation design reviews on complex projects, evaluating design effectiveness against delivery outcomes, capturing lessons learned and feeding improvements back into design standards and templates.
* Maintain expert\-level technical skills and advanced vendor certifications across the Babble solution portfolio, staying current with platform roadmaps, architectural best practices and emerging technologies across Microsoft, Mimecast, Sophos, Acronis, networking, and cloud infrastructure.

**Qualifications**

* Extensive experience of solution design and delivery across all four domains (Modern Workplace, Cyber Security, Backup/DR and Networking) and Azure.
* Demonstrable design authorship (High\-Level Designs, Low\-Level Designs and Statements of Work) and pre\-sales technical experience.
* Track record of mentoring and raising the technical capability of a delivery team.

**Desired Certifications**

* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ\-305\), or its current Microsoft successor certification.
* Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC\-100\), or its current Microsoft successor certification.
* Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS\-102\), or its current Microsoft successor certification.

Cyber Security Operations Engineer

Our client is a forward\-thinking technology business that believes great engineering and great security should go hand in hand. They are building modern cloud platforms, investing in automation, AI, and scalable infrastructure, and they are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help lead the charge. This is a hands\-on opportunity to embed security controls, strengthen AWS environments, and champion a security\-first culture across engineering teams. If you are the type of person who sees a manual process and immediately wants to automate it, sees a security risk ad wants to engineer it out of existence, and hears "we've always done it this way" as a challenge rather than an explanation, you'll fit right in.

**Key responsibilities**
 :

* Be the guardian of the gates, building security into every deployment, pipeline, and platform before threats even get a chance to knock.
* Hunt down vulnerabilities like a digital bounty hunter and automate their detection before they become tomorrow's problem.
* Turn security best practices into engineering superpowers by embedding them directly into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
* Design cloud environments that are secure, resilient, and ready for anything the internet decides to through at them.
* Champion the "shift\-left" movement, helping developers catch issues early when fixes are quick and coffee consumption remains reasonable.
* Build security guardrails that keep teams moving fast without driving off a compliance cliff.
* Partner with engineers, architects, and technology leaders to make security everyone's responsibility, not just a team's job title.
* Transform complex security risks into practical solutions that real humans can actually understand and implement.
* Create visibility across the platform through monitoring , reporting, and observability, because you can't protect what you cant see.
* Explore emerging technologies and AI\-driven solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in modern security engineering.
* Lead the charge toward a secure\-by\-design future where security is woven into every decision, every release, and every success story.
* **In short:**
 You'll be part of security strategist, part automation wizard, part cloud defender, and part engineering enabler, helping build platforms that are as secure as they are innovative.

**Job Experience and Skills Required:**

* You've built a career in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or Cloud Security and know how to stop problems before they start.
